Is it Time to Quit?
How many times have you reached for a cigarette and asked yourself, “Why am I doing this”? Of course you know that you shouldn’t but you also know that you will have it anyway. The nicotine that you intake is highly addictive. When you use tobacco products, there are the things that you experience immediately; such as, the ability to focus better, the feeling that your stress has been reduced, and calm. When levels drop, your body goes through withdrawal and craves more. If you use tobacco products to help you cope in difficult or stressful situations, you increase your dependence on nicotine. Remember, it is already addictive, now it serves a purpose. The truth is, you don’t need it. The receptors in your brain that nicotine attaches to are really meant for chemicals that your body makes naturally. And, you can learn and practice techniques that help you deal with difficult situations. Learn how to put an end to your tobacco use. Sign-up for a smoking cessation program.
